Below is an email chain from an RMGO member who was kind enough to allow us to use his correspondence between the Mayor and RMGO to show you what the truth really is; additionally, you can click here to see the ordinance.
As you can see, Mayor Valdez is an enemy of the Second Amendment, and he must be held accountable.

Mayor Valdez,
We are sick of your lies! I have read the ordinance, and I know the truth! It is past time for you to REVERSE your anti-gun, anti-small business ORDINANCE NO. 02. It is aimed to kill the firearm industry in Littleton, and WE THE PEOPLE won’t back down! Rocky Mountain Gun Owners WILL keep me informed of your decision.
Sincerely,
For Freedom,

Dudley,
I hate to inform you that the allegation(s) against the city of Littleton (and Mayor Valdez) ARE true. We have posted some of the mayor’s responses to our Facebook page as I was aware of Mayor Valdez attempting to mislead Littleton’s voters. It seems as if he is unwilling to take the blame for the anti-gun ordinance his city council unanimously passed under his leadership.
Unfortunately, Mayor Valdez is lying to RMGO members to relieve some of his current pressure. Ordinance No. 2 is a very clear attack on local gun shops. This ordinance aims to force Littleton Firearm Retailers to spend upwards of $50,000-$100,000 on gun safes, move, or shut down if not in compliance! You should also note, operating without a Littleton City License will result in a $2,650.00 fine PER DAY in accordance with 1-4-1 of the Littleton City Code!
I have attached the ordinance if you would like to look for yourself. Please note, I have highlighted the key points.
Stuart, thank you for your activism and support of RMGO. I am so sorry Mayor Valdez is deceiving you.
Dudley, would you like me to turn up the heat? I have another round of text, emails, and potentially mail ready to go.
Best,
Taylor D. Rhodes

I am adding rmgo.org to this email thread, since I believe one of you is being dishonest with the facts.
RMGO, you say that the city of Littleton is requiring gun stores to store all firearms in safes at night, and Jerry Valdes says that is not true. To me this is a question of integrity; if your assertion is true, please provide proof. If it is not, I expect rmgo to send a retraction of these accusations to your membership. If you do provide proof, please feel free to share this email thread with your membership.
Sincerely,
Stuart M.

It would be a waste of time.
Anything that has to do with guns is a second amendment infringement to RMGO.

Retail stores do not have to put their guns in a safe.
However, they are required to take steps that their showrooms are secured, such as bars on windows and other preventive measures to stop smash & grab robberies.
Give me a call and I will give you more examples.

So you’re saying you aren’t requiring gun stores to lock up their gun inventory in safes every night?

The City of Littleton has gun retailers, will continue to have gun retailers and welcomes new gun retailers.
RMGO is sensationalizing on an issue that has nothing to do with gun control.
Please give me a call and I will provide you with factual information.
Thank you

Littleton City Council,
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to REVERSE your UNLAWFUL ruling of the “Littleton Gun Control Scheme,” aka ORDINANCE NO. 02 as this action is aimed to kill the firearm industry in Littleton!
Rocky Mountain Gun Owners will keep me informed of your decision.
Sincerely,
Stuart M.
