Weiser Leads Charge Against NAGR Victory

They just can’t stand it when we win.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has joined 15 other anti-gun AGs in a desperate lawsuit to overturn a major Second Amendment victory. Their target? The National Association for Gun Rights and the federal settlement that would return thousands of forced reset triggers to their rightful owners.

This is lawfare, plain and simple. And every Colorado gun owner needs to understand what’s at stake.

NAGR’s Victory Under Attack

Here’s what the gun grabbers don’t want you to know: NAGR beat the federal government in court. A Texas judge ruled that the ATF’s classification of forced reset triggers as “machine guns” was bogus. The Trump administration agreed to return seized property and stop enforcing this unconstitutional overreach.

That should have been the end of it. Property returned. Rights restored. Constitution upheld.

But Phil Weiser couldn’t let that stand.

On June 9th, Colorado joined New Jersey, Maryland, and other anti-gun states in suing to block this settlement. They filed in Maryland – classic judge shopping – hoping to find a court that will ignore the Constitution and side with their radical agenda.

Why Weiser Fears This Victory

This lawsuit exposes the gun control movement’s greatest fear: that courts might actually enforce the Second Amendment. Weiser and his allies know that if forced reset triggers are returned, it sets a precedent. It shows that We The People can fight back against ATF overreach and win.

They can’t have that. Not when they’ve spent the last few years turning Colorado into a gun control laboratory:

  • Red Flag Expansion: Now your therapist can strip your rights without due process
  • Under-21 Ban: Young adults can vote and serve in the military but can’t buy a firearm
  • Permit-to-Purchase: Polis’s gun owner permit to purchase scheme
  • Ghost Gun Ban: Can’t even build firearms in your own garage anymore
  • 6.5% Gun Tax: Making self-defense more expensive for working families

Every one of these laws spits in the face of the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision. But Weiser doesn’t care about Supreme Court precedent – unless it supports his agenda.

The Real Agenda Revealed

Look at who Weiser aligned himself with: the attorneys general of New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts. These aren’t moderate states seeking reasonable solutions. These are the most anti-gun jurisdictions in America, places where the Second Amendment might as well not exist.

The lawsuit admits Colorado already bans forced reset triggers under state law. So why is Weiser wasting Colorado resources on a federal case? Simple: He needs federal muscle to enforce his unconstitutional schemes. If the feds respect gun rights, his house of cards collapses.

Think about what they’re actually arguing: The federal government should KEEP property it seized without compensation. They want the ATF to maintain its illegal classification despite losing in court. They’re literally advocating for the government to ignore a federal judge’s ruling because they don’t like the outcome.

Time to Fight Back

I’m done playing defense. You should be too.

While Weiser and his gun-grabbing coalition wage lawfare against our rights, we need to take the fight to them. That’s why Rocky Mountain Gun Owners is mobilizing gun owners across Colorado to demand action.

URGENT ACTION NEEDED:

Sign our petition to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi at RMGO.org/bondi

We’re demanding a federal investigation into Colorado’s systematic violations of the Second Amendment. From Red Flag abuse to registration schemes, from age-based discrimination to taxation of constitutional rights – the pattern is clear and unconstitutional.

RMGO will personally deliver every single petition to AG Bondi’s office in Washington, this summer. No email blast. No form letter. We’ll walk these petitions into DOJ headquarters and demand answers.

The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher

This lawsuit against NAGR isn’t about public safety. It’s about power. It’s about whether unelected bureaucrats and activist AGs can nullify your constitutional rights through legal manipulation.

If Weiser succeeds, it sends a message: Fight for your rights and the government will crush you. Win in court and they’ll find another court to overturn it. Exercise your freedoms and they’ll make you a criminal.

We cannot let that happen. Not in Colorado. Not on our watch.

The gun grabbers think they’ve won. They think Coloradans will roll over while they systematically destroy our rights. They think we’ll stay quiet while they turn our state into California 2.0.

They’re wrong. Dead wrong.

Every signature on our petition is a declaration: We will not comply with unconstitutional laws. We will not accept the criminalization of our rights. We will not let Phil Weiser and his anti-gun allies destroy what our founders died to secure.

Share this article with every gun owner you know. Post it on social media. Email it to your friends. Because if we don’t stand together now, we’ll fall separately later.

The Second Amendment isn’t a suggestion. It’s the law. And it’s time our leaders started respecting it.

They want you demoralized. They want you defeated. Don’t give them the satisfaction. Sign our petition to Pam Bondi at RMGO.org/bondi and let’s remind these tyrants that Colorado still believes in freedom!
